Child Care Resource & Referral
Alliance for Kids is the Child Care Resource and Referral agency for El Paso, Teller and Elbert Counties. This means that we assist programs in keeping their information current so that families can find the care they need. We work closely with Mile High United Way to make sure that families are able to find care to meet their individual child care needs. FFN (Family, Friend and Neighbor) providers care for their family, friends and neighbor’s children in home environments. These providers have all different types of educational and professional qualifications varying from years of life experience. FFN providers are not contracted with County Department of Human Services (DHS) or licensed with the state of Colorado and are not able to be reimbursed for providing care for children of families receiving financial assistance (CCCAP). This form of care is unlicensed and outside of the state’s Quality Rating Improvement System.
