Pyramid Plus Approach Training | Spring 2021

  • Do you need tools and strategies to effectively respond to challenging classroom behavior?
  • Would you benefit from training/resources that addresses including all children in a meaningful way?

Training is Wednesday evenings and Saturdays – visit the registration link for full details on class dates and times.

Pyramid Plus Approach Training is a 46-hour course during which participants will learn specific strategies to enhance the social/emotional development of the children they work with, how and why to encourage inclusion, and how to better support children with challenging behavior. Participants will receive 46 hours of training for only $250.00.

Upon completion of the course, participants will be considered to have met the educational requirements for Early Childhood Guidance Strategies (ECE 103) in accordance with Division of Child Care rules regulating child care centers and family home licenses. If interested in Continuing Education Units (CEUs) through Pikes Peak Community College, please contact Erica Evans, AFK Professional Development Specialist, at EEvans@allianceforkids.org.

NEW!! First FIVE registrants who also complete all 18 sessions will receive a Pyramid Colorado Teacher Kit valued at $202!!  Kit includes hands-on social-emotional tools for the classroom. (Kit is also available for purchase.)

You may purchase a Curriculum Binder in advance with your registration or on the first day of training.

The 48-hour EQIT Curriculum provides a solid introduction to infant and toddler development, with a focus on providing quality group care for our youngest children. The EQIT course builds on the knowledge and experiences of infant and toddler caregivers through interesting, interactive, fun activities.

The EQIT 48-hour course of training is a Department of Humans Services approved training that meets the infant/toddler training requirements for the Colorado Division of Child Care. Upon completion, participants will be considered to have met the infant-toddler portion of the training requirements* in accordance with the Colorado Division of Child Care rules regulating child care centers and family child care home license.

Children need high-quality early literacy and language development experiences! This webinar, presented by ECE Instructor and Executive Director of Culturally Responsive Community-Based Child Care Licensing Niki Gill-Adams, will explore and provide strategies to enhance and support: Oral language and Vocabulary, Early Writing, Alphabet knowledge, Book Concepts, and Knowledge. Please note, this session is for center-based providers.

Essential Strategies for Positive Parent Engagement: The term family partnerships characterize an ongoing, evolving, and integrated relationship between staff and families. Building a family partnership is an interactive process that takes time. Getting to know your families well, and understanding their desires and challenges are important for successful family involvement.  In this two-part training, we will explore the key elements in creating effective family partnerships.
