This job opening is for a full-time position at our Christian Preschool. The assistant director position will be a training opportunity on all the duties of a director including administration, staff hiring/evaluations, parent contact, staff training/meetings, CO Shines Quality Rating, and other business aspects of running the preschool. The position also includes working with preschool-age children to develop and implement curriculum, complete evaluations, facilitate learning, direct, nurture, and guide children through learning centers. Classroom maintenance, cleaning, and caring for children’s needs will be included. Familiarity with Montessori materials and methods is desired. Early Childhood Education courses and experience working with young children is required for this Early Childhood Assistant Director/Lead Teacher position.
Applicant needs to have a profile on PDIS and complete required training. We are looking for someone who can be reliable and consistent, who loves working with children, but most of all has a strong commitment to Jesus Christ and longs to share that with children and families. Applicant needs to work well with a team, be accountable, support families of our children, and show integrity/respect.
