May 8th is Provider Appreciation Day! Here’s how your family or business can help celebrate this essential workforce:
IDEAS for FAMILIES!
To honor the work and dedication of child care providers across our community, Alliance for Kids invites families to participate in #ProviderAppreciationDay on May 8th in their own special way. Here are some ideas for celebrating yours!
Share AFKs special “THANK YOU” video with them! (youtu.be/o7hUfD8NTOU)
Send a thank-you card to your provider sharing your words of appreciation.
Have your children draw pictures and mail, email, or text them to your caregiver. (Email your pix to firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll post them for you!)
Video chat with your provider to say “thank you” face-to-face.
IDEAS for BUSINESSES!
To continue honoring the work and dedication of child care providers across our community, Alliance for Kids invites businesses to participate in #ProviderAppreciationDay on May 8th. Our ideas for businesses include:
Donate supplies for a child care program or classroom. Contact TDixon@allianceforkids.org for details! Thanks to local TARGET stores for already supporting providers with needed supplies!
Provide a special discount, coupon, or freebie and share it on social media with #ChildCareHEROES and #ChildCareIsEssential or email any discounts or coupons to amckibben@allianceforkids. We will share them with providers for you!
Hang a poster or sign on your window or door thanking child care providers.
Share a “thank you” through your next business email.
