School Readiness

Improving the school readiness of children, 5 years of age or younger, who are cared for in child care facilities that serve low income families and are located in neighborhoods with eligible elementary schools. Facilities participating in this three year project receive Qualistar ratings. They also benefit from coaching/mentoring and funding for materials, equipment, family involvement activities, and professional development as they strive to enhance the quality of care they provide and improve their quality ratings.
This project presents our annual School Readiness Early Childhood Conference.
