Pyramid Plus Approach Training | Winter 2018 @ CPCD

Join us for eight intense days of Pyramid Plus training where you will learn specific strategies to enhance the social/emotional development of the children you work with, how and why to encourage inclusion, and how to better support children with challenging behavior. You will receive 48 hours of training for only $100.00

A limited number of scholarships will be available upon completion of the training; this will be discussed at orientation on February 22nd.
Upon completion of the course, participants will be considered to have met the educational requirements for Early Childhood Guidance Strategies (ECE 103) in accordance with Division of Child Care rules regulating child care centers and family home licenses.

Colorado CPR & Safety Professionals, coloradocprpros.com, will be offering their “All-in-One” classes on April 21, 2018. (Don’t worry about the slight overlap of times.) Providers must take Med Admin Part 1 online before attending the Med Admin Part 2 live class on April 21. There is also an option to take Standard Precautions online. See links below.

EQIT Spring 2018 | Session E @ CPCD, Room 210

The 48-hour EQIT Curriculum provides a solid introduction to infant and toddler development, with a focus on providing quality group care for our youngest children.  The EQIT course builds on the knowledge and experience of infant and toddler caregivers through interesting, interactive and fun activiites.

The EQIT Curriculum has been approved by the Division of Child Care as one of the classes that can be used for Early Childhood Teacher (formerly Group Leader) Qualifications AND will count toward the Infant Toddler class that will be required for Director Qualifications.

Please note Tuesday and Thursday classes are 6-9 pm and Saturday classes are 9 am – 3 pm.

NAEYC Code of Ethics Training @ AFK Conference Room

NAEYC Code of Ethics Training

Come and engage with your peers to learn about the NAEYC Code of Ethical Conduct in a fun and interactive way!  Learn how these guidelines for responsible behavior set forth a common basis for resolving ethical dilemmas encountered in early childhood care and education.  Participants will leave with a solid understanding of the Code as well as an enhanced ability to use the guidelines to make decisions within their everyday work settings.

Ways to get involved include joining Council, attending a committee meeting, applying for coaching or quality improvement supports, sharing our resources with others, participating in our advocacy efforts, and giving us feedback!
