This certificate is for Child Care Homes, Child Care Facilities, Pre-Schools, Schools, Camps, Foster Care, and Adoptive Parents. Approved through Qualistar. All licensed child care providers, schools, and camps who administer medications are required to successfully complete the state approved medication administration training. This curriculum, developed and updated by a collaborative team led by Healthy Child Care Colorado (HCCC) is designed to help providers safely administer medications to children in their care. Topics include a medication overview; handling and storage; administration of oral and topical medications, emergency medications for severe allergic reaction and inhaled medications; and required medication authorization and documentation.
We are an approved vendor for the Colorado Department of Human Services/Division of Early Care Licensing. This class will also meet the licensing requirements for Camps, Assisted Living Facilities, Athletic Trainers, Treatment Facilities, Dental Offices, Construction Sites, Peace Officers, and many more. Cards issued through Colorado CPR & Safety Professionals and/or American Safety & Health Institute. If you work in the medical field (RN, CNA, EMT, MD) your licensing most likely will require you to take our AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) course.
