Child Care Centers and Family Child Care Homes

The Colorado Department of Human Services, Division of Early Care and Learning is proposing a rule revision to align background check requirements for Child Care Centers, School-Age Child Care Centers, Family Child Care Homes and Qualified Exempt Child Care Homes with Federal Child Care Development Block Grant (CCDBG) Regulations.

These regulations are required to be in effect by September 30, 2018. Public Comment will close May 21, 2018. The first reading by the State Board of Human Services will take place on July 6, 2018.

The proposed rule revisions are in response to the need to meet requirements of the Federal Child Care and Development Fund, to align background check requirements.
